Epoxy Max 100

  • Oil Repellent
  • Chemical Resistant
  • 100% Actives
  • Two-component

Best used as a basecoat before using the Polyaspartic 930 (flake floors) or Armor-Tek 830 topcoat (clear, solid color or metallic floors). This durable epoxy floor coating repels chemicals, stops dusting and resists abrasions in a clear or colored high gloss finish.

The Epoxy Max 100 basecoat is the first step in an epoxy floor coating system. Before applying an epoxy floor coating it is best to scarify and rough up the surface of the concrete in order for the coating to properly bond and adhere. This can be achieved by acid etching and neutralizing the concrete or by mechanically grinding the concrete with a floor grinder (best practice).

The Epoxy Max 100 is available as a two-component kit containing a Part A and a Part B. Part A and Part B are mixed together throughly with a large drill paddle or jiffy mixer. Once Part A and Part B are mixed, the Epoxy Max 100 must be applied within 10-40 minutes. Once the surface has been properly prepared, the Epoxy Max 100 can then be applied with an epoxy glide roller or squeegee. About 8-24 hours after applying the Epoxy Max 100, a topcoat can then be applied.

The Epoxy Max 100 is available clear; however, a color additive may be mixed in with Epoxy Max 100 Part A at time of application. Use the Armor-Tek 830 as a top coat in clear or solid color floors.

Decorative flakes can be cast into the wet Epoxy Max 100 and then top coated with the Polyaspartic 930 concrete floor coating.

If you would like to achieve a metallic floor, first apply a coat of Epoxy Max 100 mixed with a color additive. Next apply an additional coat of Epoxy Max 100 mixed with a metallic additive. Lastly use the Armor-Tek 830 as a topcoat.

The combination of the Epoxy Max 100 and a topcoat is an excellent choice to stop concrete dusting, repel oils, greases, chemicals and acids. Keep in mind the Epoxy Max 100 can only be used on indoor concrete floors.

If there is moisture in the concrete prior to application, first use the Vapor-Tek 440.

The Micro-Degreaser 1100 concrete cleaner and degreaser can be used to degrease and remove soils and stains prior to using the Epoxy Max 100.

The Hydro-Etch 1000 concrete acid etcher can be used to etch the concrete prior to applying the Epoxy Max 100.

440 Concrete Sealer Bottle

Vapor-Tek 440

  • 100% Actives
  • Two-component

Best used on concrete floors with a high moisture content (up to 20lbs/24hr/1000ft) or prior to installing wood, carpet, tile or epoxy flooring

If a concrete floor has a high moisture content the Vapor-Tek 440 is the product to use. This two-component epoxy floor coating is designed to reduce moisture vapor emission rates of up to 20lb/24hr/1000ft. If you are going to be installing carpet, tile or wood this is the product to use to prevent any moisture from traveling and dis-bonding the flooring. It is also an excellent choice to use the Vapor-Tek 440 as a primer before installing an epoxy floor.

Each gallon will cover up to 100 square feet at 16 mils thickness and will leave a clear, high gloss finish. Part A is mixed with Part B prior to application and installed with an epoxy glide roller. The Vapor-Tek 440 will stop dusting, can be applied to concrete as little as 10 days old and only requires one coat.

The Vapor-Tek 440 does have a short pot life which means once Part A and Part B are mixed together it needs to be applied within 5-25 minutes. Once the pot life has been reached the product can no longer be applied. Mix in smaller batches following the 2 Parts A to 1 Part B ratio to extend the pot life. The Vapor-Tek 440 is dry and ready for foot traffic within 24 hours and fully cured in 3-7 days.
