Brick Sealer

Use a penetrating sealer on brick in order to waterproof and prevent moisture from seeping through the brick and mortar. Brick sealers can be used on brick walkways, chimneys, driveways and patios. Penetrating sealers will leave a natural, flat finish and can be water based or solvent based. Solvent based penetrating sealers perform better and last longer than water based penetrating sealers. They are used to protect the brick against against airborne and waterborne salts, including deicing salts and salt water pool decks. When using a brick sealer on a house or chimney the absorption of wind driven rain is reduced helping to prevent leaks.

Siloxa-Tek 8500

Water Repellent
Salt Repellent

A water-based, penetrating brick sealer

The 8500 is used to protect brick from water, salts and weathering. This can include deicing salts, salt water that may splash from a salt water pool or airborne salts near coastal regions. If brick is exposed to salt and left unsealed it can result in spalling, pitting and cracking. The Siloxa-Tek 8500 is able to resist this salt damage and keep brick strong and waterproof. Not only that but mold, mildew and efflorescence growths are reduced and are easily cleaned off.

Available in a ready to use version, or an ultra concentrated version. The ultra concentrated version is mixed with 4 gallons of distilled water prior to application. Two coats are easily applied wet-on-wet (the second coat is applied immediately after the first coat while the first coat is still wet) with a sprayer, roller or brush. The concrete retains its natural appearance after sealing and will not yellow or fade with UV light exposure.
