A: A wet-on-wet application method is recommended when applying penetrating products in order to drive penetration and get the substrate to absorb as much sealer as possible. This wet-on-wet application method refers to the second coat being applied while the first coat is still wet. You can most definitely walk on the first wet coat to apply a second coat. Since penetrating sealers are not film-forming, footprints and impressions will not be left once the product is fully cured.
Tip: Keep a damp rag on hand to wipe off the soles of your shoes in the event they pick up damp material.
